High quality 26 rim brake wheelset. Rims are Kinlin XM250 and made from a special T10 alloy containing Nobium which increases strength. Designed for rim brake bikes but can be specified with disc brake hubs if preferred.

Suitable for MTB/gravel tyre sizes between 1.5" and 2.2" and road tyres from 28mm and wider. Tough rims aimed at recreational riding, commuting and XC MTB rides.

Hubs are rim brake Shimano Deore 610. Strong steel axle hubs with user adjustable bearings. MTB standard 100mm wide front hub and 135mm wide rear hub.

Suitable for 8,9,10 and 11 speed MTB cassettes and road cassettes up to 10 speed. Can also be used with a 7 speed cassette with a additional spacer. A rugged quality hub which can be user serviced with simple tools.

The wheels come with Shimano quick release (QR) fixings included. The 32 spokes are high quality Italian made ACI Alpina double butted type. Made from 100% stainless steel (never rust) and fastened with solid brass nipples. The wheels are built using a 3x (3 cross) pattern which is the best compromise between strength without excess weight. Total wheelset weight is decently light at around 1870g.

All our wheels are handbuilt to the same high standards. Rims are true to +or- 0.2mm and spokes uniformly tensioned to within 10%. You will find cheaper 26 wheelsets available on the web but the low price is usually achieved by using inferior quality components.
